What does one wear.........to a christening?

I am sorry that this isn't my usual brand of insanity but I have a christening to go to. I don't normally go to christening as I'm not exactly the type of person that people want near their children. Mainly because of my incredible dislike for things that spit up on themselves and I am usually clutching some form of gin based drink. So I am now having to find something suitable....so if anyone has a function to go then read on....

A cute and simple dress with a print. I like the idea of shoe boots, tights and a charming hat to go with this. Topshop £36 access here

All Saints Dita Jumper Dress. I like the idea of this and some amazing bright tights. £110 which is a bit steep but it's black and functional so I would wear it again. access it here

The Karen Millen slim red trouser. I would not normally wear anything like this but there is something really menacing about the model in this picture. She looks mean. £65 access here

 

A Christopher Kane printed dress. £1,750 from netaporter.com. Okay so I would need to break a bank but screw it. At least I could rest assured that while I may not be child friendly....I'm styling.....


I'm guessing my budget may be more primark then prada but I will of course post an outfit update so you can all have a good laugh at me trying to be normal.....
